I was given the chance to talk about my research in the form of an invited talk at the Linguistics Research Seminar at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. This being my old stomping ground where I did my PhD, I obviously jumped at the opportunity!

I talked about several aspects of the history of the verb fear. We can learn a lot from this item about argument structure changes and unexpected interactions between linguistic features. I received positive feedback and greatly enjoyed the subsequent discussions. The slides can be found under the "Conferences" tab.

I would like to thank Margherita Pallottino and Alexandra Fabry-Tochilinaevery for their flawless organisation and also Eric Haeberli, Manuela Schönenberger, Geneveva Puskas, Ur Schlonsky, Tanja Samardžić, Aneli Donze, David Blunier and everybody else who attended the research seminar.
